This lightweight and rugged Kalimba (also known as a thumb piano) has beveled edges to fit snugly and comfortably in hands of all sizes.
You don't have to worry about your thumbs snagging on rough spots on the tines like you do with cheaper Kalimbas. The ore metal tines are smoothly polished and rounded for the most comfortable playing.
Intermediate players will enjoy the full 17 note range. Beginners can narrow that down to 10. Combine that with the guide stickers and you're set up for success on day 1!
The Rainbow Kalimba features a unique watercolour finish with a bamboo like grain. Like all Bondi Kalimbas it comes with a foamcore case that lets you transport your Kalimba anywhere with peace of mind.

It's an instrument that can be learnt without prior musical experience. On the other hand, someone with musical experience may well be playing simple melodies within minutes of picking it up. The beauty of this instrument is that it sounds beautiful, no matter who is playing it.
Yes it is. Also known as a mbira or thumb piano, the Kalimba orginated in Africa around 3000 years ago. At the time African tribes were in need of a portable instrument to play while walking. Whilst we may not walk and play the Kalimba these days, the portability of this instrument is a big reason for its popularity.
