Only recently did we make our first Oak ukulele at Bondi HQ. We love testing out new woods and seeing how they sound & look. It's one of the perks of being an instrument manufacturer. So we made a sample oak uke, fully expecting it to flop. I mean, we'd never heard of anyone making a uke out of oak before!
We could not have been more surprised. We love the sustain of this uke & the tone is very similar to mahogany but just a touch brighter, which matches it's appearance. The appearance of the oak is striking, we absolutely adore it.
This particular model provides a unique bright take on the baritone sound. It features a beautiful tiger oak finish that is sure to turn heads, and it also has a built-in pickup for expressing amplified creativity. If you're looking for an electric ukulele that has both style and substance, then the Bondi Tiger Oak Baritone Electric Ukulele is the perfect choice for you.

Yes my Electric Baritone is really good. I had the strings changed from factory design putting ukelele strings instead. Delighted with the sound. The Tiger Oak is very pleasing aesthetically. Certainly recommend anyone thinking of a Baritone Ukelele to consider this model. Also very good assistance from staff when considering my purchase on-line.
Cheers and thanks
Don’t let the price lower your expectations. This is no ordinary baritone ukulele. Beautifully crafted in Oak, an unusual choice of wood but it works well. Quickly settled in to keep its tune to produce gorgeous rich, mellow tones. This uke produces and projects clear, precise notes and chords and is a delight to play. The fretboard and fretting are crafted without any rough or sharp edges ( something I had on a tenor ukulele from a well-regarded maker that had cost me more than twice this amount). This is my eighth ukulele including concert, resonator, banjolele, tenor and 8 string from well known mid to high end makers. Yes I have them all and play each according to the music choice or the arrangements for the ukulele orchestra in which I participate. Thoroughly recommend this Oak Baritone from Bondi Ukelele. Excellent product and price. The Ukulelemate package, including a hard case and many surprise goodies is fantastic value.
All ukuleles under $1000 are made in China. There are a handful of instruments made in the USA/Australia but they come with a hefty price tag and aren't always worth the price. Often the more affordable instruments are just as good, if not better. At ukulelemate, we have tested thousands of instruments and found the sweetspot where quality meets value.
Yes you can! We have the best returns policy in the Australian music industry. No matter what you buy from us, we will take it back within 60 days and give you a full refund for the original purchase. What's even better - we pay for the return shipping. It's simple and easy.
We offer a lifetime warranty on all products. You won't find this anywhere else in the world, most music stores offer 12 months, maybe 24 months if you are lucky. We sell products that are high quality and will last. We stand behind them with a lifetime warranty.
Each ukulele that leaves our warehouse will undergo a strict QC and setup process by our experienced staff. The setup process if fairly similar for all instruments but we will spend more time on the more expensive models. The budget models will receive all of the crucial checks but we won't spend as much time on things such as fretboard lemon oil.
We package the ukes extremely well with our own thick custom made boxes. Each year we ship thousands of ukuleles all across Australia and the world. We guarantee you will receive a uke in 100% perfect condition.
