Spalted Maple is a beautiful wood with a very interesting grain pattern. Maple is generally brighter than other common woods used in ukuleles, such as Koa and Mahogany. That makes the Spalted Maple ukuleles naturally bright and lively, with good projection that pops in mixes.
The Bondi Spalted Maple series ukuleles uses this stunning tone wood for the top, back, and sides of the ukuleles. A natural wood binding is used to accentuate the grain.
The Rosewood fretboard sits on a solid mahogany neck and is capped with rosewood binding, high ratio chrome plated tuners and a bone nut to keep your uke perfectly in tune. The Spalted Maple series is available in Soprano, Concert, and Tenor sizes.

Bondi Koa Tenor with hard case - Love at first sight. It was a birthday gift, which started me searching for more for my son. The solid koa body gives a rich and gentle sound that resonates amazingly. If you are looking for louder, richer and more gentle sound, this is the one. The workmanship is also one of the best.
Bondi Spalted Maple Tenor with padded gig bag - secret love. Got it for mom, but then I fell in love with it as soon as I opened the box. And the sound is just as beautiful as it looks. Therefore I got myself the third one a Bondi Spalted Maple Concert with a hard case as a travel uke.
Also bought my Poppa one, Bondi Tiger Oak Concert Electric with gig bag. Originally I bought it for myself, but Poppa saw it and could not keep his hands off it and that tells how good this little beauty is. He plugged it into his old amplifier and it just made it better.

Each ukulele that leaves our warehouse will undergo a strict QC and setup process by our experienced staff. The setup process if fairly similar for all instruments but we will spend more time on the more expensive models. The budget models will receive all of the crucial checks but we won't spends as much time on things such as fretboard lemon oil.
We package the ukes extremely well with our own thick custom made boxes. Each year we ship thousands of ukuleles all across Australia and the world. We guarantee you will receive your uke in 100% perfect condition.
