Aquila's Red strings produce a deeper tone by changing the weight of the material rather than increasing its gauge. By keeping the gauge thinner and more consistent, Red® strings sound brighter and more powerful, and are more responsive across the entire fretboard. This also helps them stay in tune longer than thicker strings. The textured brown/red Red® strings have a very rich tone with a very loud projection.

Aquilla Reds + bonus back Nami flurocarbon Sakura Series

I have put Aquilla Red strings on a uke that had less than impressive sound, nice looking but very soft. These strings really give it a good punchy but sweet sound. Also as a bonus these gorgeous guys gave me a pack of Nami strings, Flurocarbon Sakura Series to test. Bunged them on a cocobolo tenor that needed a bit of a pick-me-up. Worked a treat.

Fantastic

I purchased these strings for a young student of mine and she loves them. Not only are they a great colour against her Uke but they make her playing sound so much better.
