A Little Info About This Lesson

“What a Wonderful World” is a pop ballad that was first recorded by Louis Armstrong. Released in 1967 as a single, the song topped the charts in the United Kingdom. It was written by George David Weiss and Bob Thiele.

There was a rumor that this song was first offered to Tony Bennett but he turned it down. However, George Weiss said that he wrote the song specifically for Louis Armstrong because he was inspired by Louis’ ability to bring people of different races together.
